Solar energy is central to reaching climate targets across Europe. Now it is beginning to make its comeback in Germany and is once again gaining momentum with the plans laid out by the German government to reach an installed PV capacity of 200 gigawatts (GW) by 2030. Germany continues on its path to becoming the leading PV market in Europe. A good time to join the international solar industry, that will meet on May 11–13, 2022, at Intersolar Europe in Munich at Messe München.
The new ISO- and IEC-compliant SMP12 is industry's first fast response spectrally flat Class A pyranometer that combines solid-state dome heating, with no moving parts, and best-in-class surge protection to maximize accuracy and minimize maintenance. Optimize production and reduce your total cost of ownership.
The SMP12 combines proven sensor and diffuser technology from the RaZON+ PH1 and PR1 radiometers with an enhanced version of the Smart interface and the low maintenance of the SMP10. The SMP12 has an internal drying cartridge that will last for at least 10 years if the housing is not opened. This further reduces maintenance significantly.

The pioneering soiling monitoring system Kipp & Zonen DustIQ is now even better. From now on, OTT HydroMet provides the DustIQ with a new firmware that simplifies both handling and calibration.
DustIQ is an optical sensor to measure the amount of dust, sand, and other shading objects on PV panels. It is used to determine the soiling ratio, optimize cleaning schedules, increase the profitability of PV installations – especially in arid and desert areas. With the new firmware update, among other advantages, the DustIQ adapts to surrounding conditions faster and enables an easier field calibration. The new firmware release is compatible with all versions of the DustIQ.
